Academic Year Tuition Info
CAPA Tuition for academic year classes (36 weeks total)
For the academic year (Fall/Winter/Spring), CAPA divides the annual tuition for our 36 weeks of classes during the school year into ten equal monthly payments, which we bill to your account on or about the 9th of every month (August through May) to the credit card on file. Some months have more classes than others, but regardless of the month, you only pay for 36 weeks of actual classes in ten equal monthly installments.
CAPA tuition is calculated on an hourly basis based on how many class hours per week for which your family is registered.
See the bottom of this page for a detailed schedule of monthly fees by total class hours.
When you register at CAPA, students typically register for the entire academic year with their diligent work culminating in the June Show. We do have the opportunity for new students to register mid-year in late December or January who will also participate in the June Show.
FAMILY DISCOUNT: If more than one student is enrolled in a family, the total hours danced per week are used to compute your tuition fees, resulting in a family discount once the total hours of all students is more than five hours per week.
Once your class registration has been reviewed and approved by CAPA management, your credit card will be charged tuition for the first month, taking into account a volume discount if you or your family are registered for more than 6 class hours per week.
DROPPING / ADDING CLASSES: Should you wish to drop a class during the year, you simply need to give us 30 days notice in writing to the capa@capadance.net email address, after which charges for the dropped class will not be made. Additions to your registration can be made online via the CAPA portal, however you must email us to request to transfer or drop a class.
MISSED AND MAKE-UP CLASSES: We do not offer refunds for missed classes. However, a student can take a make-up class within a month of the missed class. Make-ups can be taken at their current technique level, or at one level down for all genres.
Make-ups are not available for missed ensemble, ballet company, or production classes. If a student takes a technique class as a make-up, she/he needs to tell the teacher that it is a make-up, and the student will be noted in the make-up records.
NO REFUNDS are allowed for missed, excused or dropped classes.
