Intro to Dance  (Tap and Creative Movement): Age three at the start of the CAPA year (August). Intro to Dance classes perform one dance (either tap or ballet) in the June Show.  This class is half tap, half ballet, 100% fun!   The goal of this class is to provide a healthy and positive experience that stimulates a love for dance, music & movement by introducing ballet and tap while encouraging a child’s free expression.

Beginning Dance (Tap and Pre-Ballet): Entering Kindergarten or have completed one year of Intro to Dance. Beginning Dance classes perform two dances in the June Show…one tap, one ballet.  This class introduces the classical ballet positions, leaps, and the rhythm steps of tap. There is a focus on helping students understand the class structure, taking turns, and expressing themselves, while stimulating a love for dance, music & movement in a healthy, encouraging and positive environment.

Young Dancer – (Tap and Ballet) Entering 1st Grade or have completed one year of Beginning Dance.  Young Dancer classes perform two dances in the June Show…one tap, one ballet.  This class dives deeper into classical ballet movement and terminology, and combines the coordination and rhythm of tap while encouraging these little dancers to express themselves creatively.

Regular Class Levels
